The position coordinates the delivery of the on-ground works investments within the CAM programme delivered through a BDTNRM grant to coastcare groups and other community NRM groups with capacity to deliver onground works in the BDT coastal strip

The onground works may include weed removal, revegetation, dune stabilisation, fencing, public access works. The position will be responsible for the management of the on-ground works projects and monitoring the performance of partners and contracted providers, preparation of project reports, and maintenance of co-operative working relationships with service providers.

In addition the position engages with Community NRM groups on the coast and improves their capacity and communication networks.


NRM plan Management Action(s) and/or Targets (MAT’s):

CAM2.1.1(iii) Implement a program to improve coastal stability and condition (needs for fencing, revegetation, weed control and dune stabilization) in priority areas within the coastal environment.

CAM2.1.2 (i) Develop a cost effective monitoring program for mangrove, sub-tidal seagrass meadows and algal assemblages in the BDT region.

CAM2.1.2 (ii) Promote the community as bring the custodian of intertidal seagrass communities through the expansion of the seagrass watch program
