Envirofund Facilitator

In recognition of the role of Local Government in inkind support and sponsoring coastal community NRM groups to apply for Envirofund projects, regional bodies were offered the opportunity to apply for funding to increase the capacity of LG in respect to developing coastal Envirofund projects. With the support of Bowen, Burdekin, Townsville and Thuringowa Councils, BDTNRM was successful in obtaining $16,000 to employ a facilitator to assist coastal Local Governments to engage with their coastal community NRM groups to develop Coastcare projects for the Coastal and Marine Envirofund Rd 10 and 11.
