BDTNRM will invest in On
Ground Works on coastal land in priority areas where
LG are trustees. The onground works may include weed removal,
revegetation, dune stabilisation, fencing, public access works,
protection of endangered beach Scrub (linked to the cross regional
Beach Scrub project # CAM2010) and restoration of fish habitats
(linked to Ocean Watch’s Tide to Table program) at
prioritised sites determined by mapping and resource condition
projects. Draft OGW’s management plans will be initially
developed by each Local Government and the CAM programme
coordinator and Coastal LG support officer, then taken to the CAMAG
for recommendation with final approval by BDTNRM CEO.
