Provision of Ground Control for the Orthorectification of SPOT 5
Satellite Imagery
Description: This project is collecting SPOT 5
imagery covering the entire Burdekin Region. SPOT 5 is similar to
Landsat imagery, but with higher resolution.
This project will enable us to produce satellite images for
locations anywhere within our region. We will have satellite
images for 30 percent of the region by the middle of 2006, with
complete coverage available by the end of the year.
Landholders, local government and community organisations
wanting to use the SPOT 5 imagery can apply to BDTNRM where you can
recieve a licence to use the images free of charge.
