This project worked with
landholders in the Upper Burdekin and Upper Herbert region and
focussed on improving land condition to increase the productivty
and sustainability of their properties.
Landholders were
trained to take stock of their properties using
infrastructure mapping, land condition and pasture
assessments, herd information and other tools. With this
information landholders could then plan for sustainable improvement
of their land and pasture condition and cattle
productivity.
Six properties participated in the
project, and five landholders undertook on-ground works
that were partially funded by NQ Dry Tropics.
