The Sustainable Landscapes Project was a cross-regional
partnership between NQ Dry Tropics and Reef Catchments.
The project increased the capacity of growers in the Bowen
Broken and Bogie subcatchments and provided incentives for
on-ground works to improve water quality.
Approximately 30 landholder projects were funded which
included:
- riparian fencing;
- strategic fencing to improve native grasses;
- watering points ensuring that cattle cease to enter
watercourses to drink and camp.
